STEM Hubs are a vital link in Alabama’s strategy to grow a future-ready workforce. Located across the state, these regional Hubs serve as connection points between business, industry, and education, ensuring that emerging workforce needs are addressed with innovation, agility, and alignment. Each Hub responds to the unique assets and challenges of its region, fostering local solutions with statewide impact.
Led by the Alabama STEM Council, the STEM Hub network was created to break down silos and ensure every region has a voice in shaping Alabama’s economic future. From aerospace and advanced manufacturing in the north to biotech, energy, and logistics in the south, STEM Hubs are actively engaging with employers, educators, and community leaders to co-create programs that elevate STEM literacy, increase student opportunity, and deepen career readiness. The Council supports these efforts by driving collaboration among Hubs, identifying cross-sector priorities, and aligning resources to increase impact.
